Basketball Recap: McGregor Comes Up Short

McGregor lost against Ely back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The McGregor Mercuries took a hard 61-45 fall against the Ely Timberwolves. The Mercuries have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McGregor's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Ely, they moved to 16-10 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

McGregor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ely, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-37 loss against Mountain Iron-Buhl on the 8th.
