Baseball Recap: Carle Place Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Carle Place hadn't done well against Oyster Bay recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Frogs came out on top against the Baymen by a score of 4-1. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Thomas Schoch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Schoch was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Philip Bunt, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That run marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was Patrick McCarthy, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Carle Place's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
