Softball Recap: Bunkie Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Bunkie finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Holy Savior Menard Eagles, falling 13-2. The Panthers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Bunkie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andi Bettevy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Bunkie's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Holy Savior Menard, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bunkie will challenge Avoyelles Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holy Savior Menard, they will face off against Rapides at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rapides has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.71 runs per game on average), something Holy Savior Menard will no doubt try to take advantage of.
