Football Recap: Walnut Ridge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Walnut Ridge and Big Walnut squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Walnut Ridge had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Golden Eagles 43-0. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Scots, who until this game were averaging 13.75 points allowed.

Marquis Lucas threw for 126 yards on 14 of 26 attempts.

Nolan Buirley was his usual excellent self, rushing for 219 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per carry for Big Walnut. Buirley is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 138 every time he's taken the field this season. Eli Stumpf was another key player, throwing for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
