Basketball Game Preview: Olive Branch Conquistadors vs. Horn Lake Eagles

The Olive Branch Conquistadors will challenge the Horn Lake Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Olive Branch took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Tishomingo County 93-52. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-28.

Meanwhile, Horn Lake strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Lake Cormorant by a score of 48-40.

Olive Branch better focus on containing Julian Jeter and Trey Gilliam as the pair were huge in Horn Lake's win. Jeter dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards, while Gilliam shot 56% from the field on his way to 11 points. Those 17 points gave Jeter a new career-high.

Horn Lake's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Olive Branch, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Olive Branch didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Horn Lake when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 68-62 victory.
