Baseball Recap: John F. Kennedy Takes a Loss

John F. Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cuero Gobblers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gobblers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Friday.

JORGE PINA made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. MAX GARZA was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

John F. Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Cuero, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John F. Kennedy will welcome San Antonio Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cuero, they will host Ingleside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
