Warren Township proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Grayslake Central Rams 8-6. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Warren Township's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Grayslake Central, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren Township will head out to square off against Wauconda at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The last five games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Grayslake Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against Zion-Benton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
