Volleyball Game Preview: Highland Park Giants vs. Niles North Vikings

Highland Park hasn't had much luck against Niles North recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Giants will face off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Niles North will be up against a hot Highland Park team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Giants came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Evanston. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Giants have posted since April 19th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Highland Park got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 18-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Niles North waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged out the Argonauts 2-1.

Niles North's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Highland Park, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Highland Park couldn't quite get it done against Niles North in their previous matchup on April 11th as they fell 2-0. Can the Giants avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
