Football Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bartlett fought the good fight in their overtime contest against South Anchorage on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 14-7 to the Wolverines. The Golden Bears gained 90 more yards on the day, but it was the Wolverines that made the best use of them.

Tatum Pogtis threw for 111 yards on only ten passes. Colt Jardine was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards. On the ground, Sithri Fainuulelei rushed for 78 yards.

The critical scores for South Anchorage came from Ethan Yarrington and Garrett Hobbins.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Anchorage, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bartlett will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Juneau-Douglas at 2:00 p.m. on September 6. As for South Anchorage, they will challenge Lathrop at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
