Soccer Game Preview: Bear River vs. Green Canyon

Bear River is 0-10 against Green Canyon since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Bears will head out on the road to square off against Wolves at 7:00 p.m.

Bear River is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Mountain Crest.

Bear River's goal came courtesy of Gustavo Lagones, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Green Canyon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Provo a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Green Canyon, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Green Canyon pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Bear River, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Bear River might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Green Canyon in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
