            Basketball Recap: Blair-Taylor Wildcats vs. De Soto Pirates        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Independence/Gilmanton, Blair-Taylor was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They came out on top against the De Soto Pirates by a score of  51-44. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 De Soto lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Kylee Venner, who  dropped  a double-double on 11  points and 12  rebounds. Venner has been hot recently, having  posted eight or more  boards the last four times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sylvia Krueger, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and nine  rebounds.
Blair-Taylor is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 56.0 points per game. As for De Soto, they moved to 7-4 with that  defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
 Blair-Taylor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  50-34  win against Osseo-Fairchild on the 14th. De Soto has also  already played their next contest,  a  60-42  victory against Brookwood on the 13th.
