There's no place like home for Northwest Whitfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past the Ridgeland Panthers to the tune of 52-21 on Friday. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwest Whitfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Nuckolls, who threw for 188 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes. Nuckolls' passing game has become a key predictor of the Bruins' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. Kade Mitchell also helped with two TDs in total.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Northwest Whitfield proved: they limited Ridgeland to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. The Bruins' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.5.
