Smyrna beats Antioch for their fifth straight win

Recap: Smyrna Bulldogs vs. Antioch Bears
The Smyrna Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Antioch Bears with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Smyrna secured a 30-26 W over Antioch on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Smyrna also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.
Smyrna's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Thomas Jones led the charge by rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Austin Morris, who threw for 175 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes.
Smyrna's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Antioch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smyrna will face off against Cane Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cane Ridge will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. As for Antioch, they will head out on the road to face off against LaVergne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LaVergne is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
