Preview: South Medford vs. McMinnville
McMinnville will challenge South Medford on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
McMinnville won against Roseburg two weeks ago with 23 points, and McMinnville decided to stick to that point total again last week. McMinnville skirted past South Salem 23-21. The McMinnville offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the matchup anyway.
Meanwhile, if South Medford were riding high off their 38-12 takedown of Canby, that ride came to an abrupt end. South Medford lost to Liberty by a decisive 20-38 margin.
McMinnville's victory lifted them to 3-0 while South Medford's defeat dropped them down to 2-1. We'll find out if McMinnville can add another positive mark to their record or if South Medford can shake off the loss and take the spring out of McMinnville's step.
