Basketball Game Preview: Harper Creek Beavers vs. Western Panthers

Harper Creek hasn't had much luck against Western recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Harper Creek Beavers will host the Western Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Harper Creek turned things around against Hastings on Friday. They came out on top against the Saxons by a score of 45-36.

Meanwhile, Western waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 55-33 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Western pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points per game. As for Harper Creek, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.
