Baseball Recap: Smithsburg Victorious

Smithsburg won the last time they faced Walkersville and things went their way on Friday too. The Leopards came out on top against the Lions by a score of 9-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Leopards.

The team relied heavily on Chase Sarber, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Teson, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Smithsburg's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Walkersville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
