Volleyball Recap: Parsons Takes a Loss

Parsons lost against Frontenac back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Parsons sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 17-25, 25-17.

Frontenac found their leader in sophomore Laynee Shay, who had 19 digs and two assists. Those 19 digs set a new season-high mark for Shay.

Parsons has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season. As for Frontenac, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season.

Parsons has already played their next contest (against Southeast), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Frontenac, they will welcome Labette County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
