Volleyball Recap: Bath Starts off Right with Win over Lima Senior

Bath had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Lima Senior Spartans as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Wildcats were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Spartans, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Bath never let Lima Senior on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 27-25.

Emily Gomez paced Bath's offense, picking up eight kills. Gomez got some help from Zoie Bayliff and her 11 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Lima Senior lost, don't look at Alisandra Vanmeter. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and one assist.

Coming up, Bath will take on Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lima Senior, they will challenge Hardin Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
