Basketball Recap: Fairdale Takes a Loss

Fairdale lost against Pleasure Ridge Park back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fairdale Bulldogs took a 79-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers.

When it comes to explaining why Fairdale lost, don't look at Ferlandas Wright. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 31 points and 16 rebounds. Wright is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarel Butler, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Fairdale's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Fairdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 99-59 victory against Bullitt Central on the 25th. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, they will face off against Jeffersontown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
