After a string of nine wins, Wapsie Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Denver Cyclones. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cyclones when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10.

Taylor Buhr paced Wapsie Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Buhr got some help from Tessa Brunscheon and her 12 assists.

Wapsie Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Denver, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wapsie Valley will face off against rival Sumner-Fredericksburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Denver is set to square off against their familiar foe Aplington-Parkersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
