Preview: Heston Academy Patriots vs. Oscoda Owls
The Heston Academy Patriots will head out on the road to take on the Oscoda Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heston Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Two weeks ago, Heston Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Rogers City, but they still walked away with a 39-34 victory.
Meanwhile, Oscoda came up short against Alcona on Monday and fell 47-36. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oscoda in their matchups with Alcona: they've now lost three in a row.
Heston Academy pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Oscoda, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Heston Academy came up short against Oscoda when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 33-21. Can Heston Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
