Basketball Recap: Wright Takes a Loss

Wright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Moorcroft Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, with their most recent defeat being a 41-34 loss back in January.

Defeat or not, Wright got some senior leadership from Jocelyn Umiker and Dani Barnhurst. Umiker dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Barnhurst posted 17 points along with six boards and five assists. Tara Williams was another key player, putting up a point and five steals.

Wright's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Moorcroft, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-17 record.

As of now, neither Wright nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
