Baseball Recap: Caverna Colonels vs. Larue County Hawks

Caverna had lost 17 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-22 to make it 18. They lost 15-0 to the Larue County Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-0 defeat back in April.

As for Larue County, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 24-7-1 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six runs or more this season.

For Larue County's part, Hunter Richardson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Richardson posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Ryan Hughes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Braden Brooks, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Caverna nor Larue County have any future games scheduled.
