Baseball Recap: Manchester Triumphs

While Manchester's victory against East Hartford wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hornets 3-1. The Red Hawks haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Dallas Manganello spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. He is becoming a predictor of Manchester's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-9 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Manchester saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abe Rosario, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Ethan Ramsdell, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Manchester's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 7-11. As for East Hartford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Manchester will square off against RHAM at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Hartford, they will challenge Enfield at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
