Basketball Recap: Trimble Tech Takes a Loss

Trimble Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 48-27 to the Turner Lions. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1444th, while the Lions are ranked 592nd).

Matthew Stone continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Turner, going 6 of 11from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Johnson, who posted six points and four steals.

Trimble Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Turner, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Trimble Tech will take on Polytechnic in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Turner, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Irving at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
