Volleyball Game Preview: Spencer Rockets vs. Colby Hornets

The Spencer Rockets are taking a road trip to challenge the Colby Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Spencer came up short against Columbus Catholic and fell 3-1.

Spencer started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-23, 25-22, 25-10.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Colby's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Loyal.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 26-28, 25-21.

Colby's loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Spencer, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.

Spencer might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Colby when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
