On May 10, 2012, the top two teams in the current league standings will go head to head, as Vista Murrieta and Temecula Valley meet. The Broncos currently hold a 2.00-game lead over the Golden Bears for first place.

Southwestern's longest active winning streak belongs to Vista Murrieta (17-7, 11-2), undefeated over its last 10 games. In the past week, the Broncos won another 2 games, includinga 4-3 victory over Murrieta Valley. The team's hottest hitter over the past week was Joven Afenir, who had four hits and drove in one runs.
