Baseball Game Preview: Northridge Grizzlies vs. Severance Silver Knights

The Northridge Grizzlies will head out to challenge the Severance Silver Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Northridge has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with seven straight losses, while Severance will come in with five straight victories.

Northridge came up short against Wellington on Wednesday, falling 14-4.

Matthew Casillas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Jaycob Lermon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Severance beat Fountain-Fort Carson 9-4 on Saturday.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Severance, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Northridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Severance in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northridge since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
