Hackettstown put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Newton Braves 16-2. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the   8-7 win the Braves walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
 Trey Schneider made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run any time he's  pitched this season. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jacob Echandy, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs.  Marcos Rosado was another key player,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
Hackettstown's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Newton, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hackettstown will head out to  face off against Kittatinny Regional  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Newton, they will venture away from home to  square off against Lenape Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
