Softball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster couldn't beat Waxahachie on Tuesday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the second inning. The Tigers came up short against the Indians, falling 23-8. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Lancaster saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayla Clemmons, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another was Kelsea Patton, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Waxahachie, the win was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 32-1.

Lancaster has already played their next matchup, a 22-5 victory against DeSoto on the 17th. As for Waxahachie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-1 win against Mesquite on the 17th.
