Volleyball Game Preview: Wachusett Regional Mountaineers vs. Algonquin Regional Titans

Wachusett Regional is 2-8 against Algonquin Regional since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mountaineers will be playing at home against the Titans at 5:15 p.m. Wachusett Regional will be strutting in after a victory while Algonquin Regional will be coming in after a defeat.

Wachusett Regional took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Grafton with a sharp 3-0 win. The Mountaineers haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Wachusett Regional walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-6, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Algonquin Regional came up short against Westborough on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-18.

Algonquin Regional's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Wachusett Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Everything went Wachusett Regional's way against Algonquin Regional when the teams last played back in September, as Wachusett Regional made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Mountaineers repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
