 It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Peyton Panthers can now relate to. Their  rough  75-52 loss to the Spartans  on Saturday might stick with them for a while. Peyton's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
 Peyton lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Gabriel Gatti, who  scored nine points along with three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Bryce Love, who  scored 11 points.
 Salida was led to victory by  Ashton Walker and  Ryan Osness.  Walker  went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 1 assist, while  Osness  scored 23 points along with three  steals. It was the first time this season that  Walker  scored 15 or more points.  Karl Brown was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals.
 Peyton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Salida, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 16 of their last 18 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record  this season.
 Peyton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Salida is on the road again  on Thursday and plays Forge Christian at 5:30  p.m.  on March 7th. One thing working in Salida's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last six contests.
