Recap: Bruni Badgers vs. Hebbronville Longhorns
The Bruni Badgers lost against the Hebbronville Longhorns on December 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bruni ended up on the wrong side of a rough 53-33 walloping at the hands of Hebbronville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bruni in their matchups with Hebbronville: they've now lost four in a row.
Hebbronville was led to victory by Joaquin Gonzales and Oscar Carrillo. Gonzales scored 11 points, while Carrillo scored ten points along with five assists and five steals. Carrillo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Jeffery Shreve was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
Bruni bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hebbronville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.
Bruni will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Perlita on January 9, 2024. As for Hebbronville, they will head out on the road to face off against Bloomington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
