A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats dukes it out withthe Plant Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wharton is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.

Wharton is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Armwood last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Wharton was beaten by Armwood 55-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Wildcats haven't been shut out since back in August.

Meanwhile, Plant waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Warriors onto the board and left with a 56-0 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Panthers had established a 49 point advantage.

It was another big night for Jc Mirasola, who threw for 150 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Plant didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Roymarr Thomas, David Delgardo, Alex Tate, and Zyrohn Canady picked up one apiece. Canady also snagged an interception, which is notable because Plant is undefeated when he posts at least one interception, but 2-4 otherwise.

Wharton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Plant, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
