Basketball Recap: Roff Comes Up Short

If Roff was riding high fresh off their 75-37 takedown of Springer on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers lost 79-58 to the Riverfield Country Day Ravens on Friday.

Max Harper was nothing short of spectacular for Riverfield Country Day: he shot 50% from the field en route to 38 points along with eight boards and five assists. Harper's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Corbin, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Roff's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Roff will head out to face off against Varnum at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverfield Country Day, they will venture away from home to square off against Wright Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
