Baseball Preview: Brandon Eagles vs. Chamberlain Storm
The Brandon Eagles will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Chamberlain Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brandon will be strutting in after a win while Chamberlain will be coming in after a defeat.
Brandon is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Middleton. Brandon narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Middleton 8-7.
Francis Ovalles was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Ovalles was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.
