Softball Recap: Mora Triumphs

While Mora's victory against Hinckley-Finlayson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since April 16th.

Mora is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Hinckley-Finlayson, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coming up, Mora will challenge Ogilvie at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.42 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. Hinckley-Finlayson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
