Bishop McNamara is 9-1 against The Academy of the Holy Cross since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Tartans at 4:00 p.m. Bishop McNamara is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Bishop McNamara sidestepped Bishop Ireton for a 2-1 victory.

Koryn Otey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Bishop McNamara saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaslyne Ivey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Ivey has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, The Academy of the Holy Cross can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They blew past Madeira 15-9. Considering the Tartans' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Bishop McNamara has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for The Academy of the Holy Cross, their record is now 2-8.

Bishop McNamara couldn't quite get it done against The Academy of the Holy Cross when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 16-11. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
