Basketball Recap: Harrisburg Gets the Win

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Harrisburg Bulldogs beat the Tipton Cardinals 70-64. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly six points.

Despite the loss, Tipton still got an impressive performance from Dane Schlotzhauer, who went 8-for-14 en route to 22 points. Tipton is 2-1 when Schlotzhauer posts 20 or more points, but 4-13 otherwise. Ben Bestgen was another key player, putting up 11 points and five assists.

Harrisburg's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Tipton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Harrisburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-44 win against Russellville on the 11th. As for Tipton, they have also already played their next game, a 67-61 victory against New Bloomfield on the 7th.
