On Wednesday, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central faced Adamsville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers skirted past the Adamsville Cardinals 9-7. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Madison Holder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits.

On the hitting side, Keely Williams was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Olivia Scott was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.75 runs across that stretch. As for Adamsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers take on Dresden Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Adamsville, they will challenge Wayne County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
