Basketball Recap: North Florida Educational Institute Comes Up Short

North Florida Educational Institute and Impact Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but North Florida Educational Institute had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Impact Christian Academy Lions by a score of 59-57. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Lions are ranked 49th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Impact Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ronald Clark, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Jackson, who had 15 points.

North Florida Educational Institute has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Impact Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

North Florida Educational Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Impact Christian Academy, they will square off against Eagle's View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Impact Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
