Baseball Preview: St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish vs. Nordonia Knights

The St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish will head out on the road to take on the Nordonia Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Vincent-St. Mary is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

St. Vincent-St. Mary fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Perry on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 10-9.

Will Tober was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Tyler Slone made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Christie, who went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI.
