Basketball Game Preview: Sandusky Blue Streaks vs. Ashland Arrows

The Sandusky Blue Streaks will venture away from home to challenge the Ashland Arrows at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandusky knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Ashland likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Sandusky was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 73-69 to Ross. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Streaks came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Little Giants are ranked 230th).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ashland beat Madison Comprehensive 66-62 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Arrows in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

Ashland's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Sandusky, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Sandusky strolled past Ashland when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 78-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sandusky since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
