After losing to Archangels Catholic the last time they met, Burwell decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Longhorns came out on top against the Defenders by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

While Burwell won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18.

Karsyn Bower was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 11 digs and one assist. Myah Wright also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Burwell's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Archangels Catholic, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Burwell has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Fullerton on the 11th. As for Archangels Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Newman Grove/St. Edward on the 9th.
