Softball Recap: Jay Takes a Loss

Jay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harlandale Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-13 back in March.

Jay saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jennifer Galindo, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Jay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Harlandale, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jay is set to square off against their familiar foe Winn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Harlandale will challenge rival Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
