Basketball Recap: Guilford Park Takes a Loss

Guilford Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 69-51 bruising from the Mt. Hebron Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Panther can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Vikings are ranked 37th).

Guilford Park's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mt. Hebron, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Guilford Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Hebron, they will head out on the road to challenge Hammond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Hebron knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Hammond likes a good challenge.
