Volleyball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll lost against Eastern back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Comets.

Carroll took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

Eliza Rinehart paced Carroll's offense, picking up four kills. Rinehart got some help from Mady Isley and her six assists. Finally, Audrey Richardson kept Carroll's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Carroll dropped their record down to 3-19 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Eastern, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Carroll will challenge Sheridan at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
