Basketball Recap: Le'khya Gray and Mckenzie Jackson Secure Win for Ridgeway

Ridgeway's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-34 win over the Melrose Golden Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Roadrunners in their matchups with the Golden Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Ridgeway was led to victory by McKenzie Jackson and Le'Khya Gray. Jackson went 6 of 7 to rack up 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Gray dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Jackson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Zaria Crosby, who posted four points and four steals.

Ridgeway now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Melrose, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

The future could be bright for both Ridgeway and Melrose: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently.
