Football Recap: Dickinson Takes a Loss

The Dickinson Midgets ended up a good deal behind the Central Cass Squirrels on Friday and lost 36-21. While losing is never fun, the Midgets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Squirrels are ranked eighth).

This is the second loss in a row for Dickinson and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Central Cass, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dickinson will welcome Watford City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Midgets their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Central Cass, they will square off against Wahpeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Squirrels will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
