Basketball Recap: Beverly Comes Up Short

If Beverly was riding high fresh off their 78-47 takedown of Haverhill last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beverly Panthers fell to the Masconomet Regional Chieftains 64-58. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-60 back in January.

Beverly's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Masconomet Regional, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beverly will venture away from home to face off against Winthrop at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Masconomet Regional, they will head out to square off against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
